Hi, I'm João

I'm a software engineer, musician, and compulsive learner. My working life is rooted in backend systems and site reliability engineering; outside it I am usually following a guitar signal through a circuit, testing a pedal circuit, reading, or learning another craft.

This site is deliberately broader than a professional engineering blog. The common thread is understanding how things work by building, measuring, documenting, and occasionally getting them wrong first.
